Christmas came early for me courtesy of T-Mobile!
They powered up a new cell tower a short way from my house. Now I can finally get rid of my erratic cell-boster, and I have decent coverage throughout the neighborhood (which is challenging given the hills and trees).
Lucky you. We can't have more cell towers in Palo Alto. At a meeting where residents were demanding (a) better coverage and (b) no more cell towers, a frustrated telco engineer finally told the audience "cell phone coverage ISN'T magic!"
T-Mobile is using PG&E poles and right-of-ways to get these in. These sites were discussed at the Oakland city council meeting, but there really wasn't any action they could take.
Oh, and if anyone wants a gently used zBoost and panel antenna let me know..
