Found a few tips here. Color prompts, didn't realize that g4's -c flag would tab-complete.
Added a comment about setting the tmux title using
tmux rename-window
Now I have a decent set of titles instead of
1 bash 2 bash 3 bash 4 bash 5 bash 6 bash 7 python ...
